What we stand for

An insurer's loss adjuster is not in itself unfair — he or she does the job for the principal. But that means the claimant needs an opposing voice. That is what we are here for.

Our experts are peers of insurers' loss adjusters: the same training, the same tools, the same legal frameworks. The only difference is whom we work for. That difference is fundamental.

How we work

We talk with you, not about you. Before we start on a claim, we explain what we do, how we approach it and what it will deliver. During the process you stay informed. At the end you assess whether the result is right.

We negotiate on the basis of evidence and argument. No back rooms, no vague agreements, no handshakes later reinterpreted. Everything is set down in writing.

Recognition and legal position

Since 2020 we have been appointed by the Dutch Insurance Ombudsman as preferred provider for independent claim assessments — assignments where the Ombudsman requires a neutral, expert review.

In addition, the Court of The Hague held in 2020 in a case against Achmea that insurers cannot impose unlawful requirements on counter-experts. Krantz & Polak was a party in that case; the ruling has since guided the entire sector.
